How to buy the rainbow clothing for your mom
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The weather is forecast to be a bit drier this weekend for many people who are planning to wear colorful outfits at a wedding, but it won’t stop them from wearing a rainbow dress.
Some are already planning to spend a little extra time on the front steps to make sure they look their best in a wedding gown.
“The rainbow is a symbol for love, so we should all be thinking about that in our relationships,” said Amy, a single mother of two from Philadelphia.
“When you see a rainbow, it’s like a light, a little bit like a candle.
And it’s also kind of a symbol of peace.”
Amy and her husband, Brian, recently had a special day together.
They had a fun time on their wedding day, with the bride, a senior, wearing a dress that was modeled after her favorite wedding dress, a blue, white, and purple gown.
They also had a lot of fun with the guests, even inviting the kids and their parents to the reception.
“The kids loved it and the kids are a bunch of kids, so I think it was great,” Amy said.
“I don’t know how many kids there were, but the kids liked it.”
Brian also wore a dress inspired by his father, who died of lung cancer in 2016.
“We talked about how we could use the color, and we were thinking about this dress, and I just thought that it would be really cool if we were going to do it with a little sparkle,” Brian said.
The kids were happy to have their dad at the reception and said they felt like they got a real chance to express themselves.
“They said, ‘Dad, this is so beautiful,’ ” Amy said of the family.
“It was very special.”
